”The Artist gone entrepreneur” 

     These days its not uncommon for an artist to make it big and go onto become an entrepreneur.  Rappers aren’t just rappers these days artists have been producing clothing lines, buying clubs, giving to charities, and much more. It's also not uncommon to see your favorite artist in big cinema movies playing rolls with A list actors.  The entertainment industry is hard to get into but once your involved the connections are endless and you could possibly be doing things you never dreamed of. 

     Jay Z one of my favorite artists and role models is a prime example of an artist who is now and entrepreneur.  He started off an artist he went on to own Roca-fella records and start his own clothing line.  He has ownership of Brooklyn Nets and owns a booming night club called 40/40 in Manhattan New York.  His success is so great that he doesn’t even have to make music anymore.   He more than doubled his empire when he married Beyonce who brought her own power and enterperenuership to the table.  With his creative business moves Jay Z has amassed millions and has become one of the highest paid rappers alive.  He recently invested his money into the Brooklyn Nets and is in the process of opening a RocaWear store inside.  His empire will continue to grow and he has grow a lot since his days as just an artist.  

     Jay Z is not the only artist who has converted their music into an empire of businesses.  Beyonce also has her own clothing line called Dereon which she shares with her mother.  The artists had plans and dreams and followed through with them.  Not only have they succeeded with their music they have started businesses that are thriving even today in the bad economy.
     Another rapper who has made a name for himself in the business world is Curtis Jackson better known as "50 Cent".  He defeated all odds by surviving 9 gun shot wounds. He went on to become a successful artist today is an entrepreneur, investor, record producer, and actor.  You can often find him in a three piece suite handling business instead of the original attire he used to wear as an artist.  All three artists mentioned above are inspiring they are great business men and woman and have set big examples in the entertainment industry.
